Katie Buderwitz

Season: Gilmore Girls (Luke and Lorelai)

My name is Katie Buderwitz - I’m a Los Angeles based actor, singer, and TV super fan. When I’m not acting, I occasionally serve tables (as a right of passage) and frequently sing karaoke.

A lot of people think my first TV addiction was Veronica Mars (which makes sense), but it was actually Smallville. I caught a random mid-season 3 episode on ABC Family one afternoon and immediately had to run and buy the DVD box set to get started bingeing (which dates me just a little but whatever). And because I’m dramatic, I started crying because I wanted desperately to be on TV like Kristin Kreuk. So that eventually led to many more DVD box sets. And a very expensive Bachelor’s degree.

Favorite TV ‘Ship: Veronica Mars and Logan Echolls all day 4ever and ever #epic amen

Best Profession of Love: Logan’s epic speech to Veronica at Alterna-Prom because #duh. Lives ruined. Blood shed. Spanning years and continents. And ill-advised season 4 endings (sorry, Rob Thomas).

Best Use of Song in TV: It’s a Vampire Diaries toss-up between “Wires” by Athlete in 2x06 when Elena breaks up with Stefan to protect her family from Katherine or “A Drop in the Ocean” by Ron Pope in 3x01 when Ripper Stefan calls Elena on the road with Klaus and just silently cries while she tells him it’s going to be ok. I die both times.

TV Role You'd Steal: Buffy Summers, baby. I feel like we could use a new generation of slayers in 2020 anyway.

Victoria Hoffman

Season: Insecure (Issa and Lawrence)

I suppose I'm a comedian but I really hate that word! Born in Dallas, currently live in NYC and spend most of my time picking out food on Seamless.

First interaction with a love for TV Solid tie between The Office and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. I've seen all the episodes too many times to count and it never gets less funny. Both are the closest we'll ever get to comedic brilliance on television.
Favorite TV couple of all timeOlivia Pope and President Fitz from Scandal! So freaking STEAMY!

Underappreciated Show we're all sleeping on
Current obsession is Indian Matchmaking on Netflix!

Kat Belinfante

Season: The O.C. (Seth and Summer)

I’m a comic, actor, writer and a recovering sorority girl, who is now sometimes detrimentally self-aware but with a dash of woo woo and always here to help my friends analyze themselves and their crushes.
.
First Interaction with a love for TV: It actually was the OC. I used to have sleepovers with my best friend on school nights just to watch it, and then we would play OC trivia the next day at school. I’m pretty sure I went to USC because of my early obsession with the show. Also South Park because it was the one thing that bonded me at eight with my twenty three year old brother. Honestly, the show still holds up. I think Matt and Trey are comedic and literal geniuses.
.
Favorite TV Couple of All Time: Not to hark on this, but it really has always been Seth and Summer. However, Fleabag and Hot Priest SHOOK me. They could not have ended up together, but there is some masochistic part of me that loves soulmates who can’t be together- ugh.

TV Role You’d Steal: Jess Day, New Girl

Best TV Kiss: Fleabag and Hot Priest

Biggest Influence on your Sexual Awakening: Damon from Vampire Diaries

JP Maddock

Season: Schitt’s Creek (David & Patrick)

Hi, my name is JP Maddock and I'm just like you! I am an actor/writer living in Brooklyn. I have no pets, no boyfriends, and no clear concept of what "stanning" means but I use it anyway. I have an odd obsession with lights- specifically colored ones in stranger's bedrooms. Based on my nightly strolls through the neighborhood I have come to the conclusion that the color fuchsia is having a moment here in Bushwick.

I was once gifted an eight VHS tape long collection of the entire series of I Love Lucy. Each tape had a different floating head of the beloved red-head. And I distinctly remember that tape number 2 had my favorite episode, Lucy Does A TV Commercial. I went through bottles of Kid's Motrin trying to recreate the iconic Vitameatavegamin commercial for my sister, who was beginning to think I was taking this whole "method acting thing" a little too far when I puked up vibrant orange across the living room rug.

Favorite TV ‘Ship: Fran and Mr. Sheffield, The Nanny

Best Use of Song in TV: "Hide And Seek" by Imogen Heap in Season 2 Episode 24 (The Dearly Beloved) of The O.C. This is arguably the best and worst use of a song in a TV show. It inspired an iconic SNL sketch, was sampled in a Jason Derulo hit, and was played on repeat as a young and never been kissed JP cried over an imaginary relationship.

TV Boyfriend: Lee Pace in Pushing Daisies. Are you kidding me a pie maker with the ability to bring back the dead? Yum.

Biggest Influence on your Sexual Awakening:: Will and Grace. Believe it or not, Karen's laugh was the soundtrack to my first gay hookup.

Vika Stubblebine

Season: Normal People (Marianne & Connell)

I’m an extrovert, a second-hand clothes hoarder, a cat mom and I watch way too much TV. I’m an actress and a writer, and I work in TV Production in Los Angeles.

First Interaction with a love for TV

I can’t remember not being obsessed with TV…I love movies, but serialized storytelling has always been #1 in my heart. I was absolutely obsessed with Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and Boy Meets World…. Then when I got older it was Gilmore Girls (which I watched religiously with my mom) and The OC, which I wasn’t actually allowed to watch because it was too “Sexy”.  Now I watch everything, even things I don’t think are well made because I love to see why something works or doesn’t work... It’s my favorite kind of puzzle.

Favorite TV Couple of All Time: Ooo this is hard. The minute I write this I’ll think of 3 other couples I should have listed. For actual healthy, but still entertaining relationships, I nominate every couple on Schitt’s Creek and Randall and Beth from THIS IS US.

Best TV Kiss: IDK ALL OF THEM?!

Best Use of Song in TV: I can’t put Schitt’s Creek for every answer, so I’ll say the entire space alien opera version of Romeo & Juliet in SEX EDUCATION season 2 was hilarious and amazing. Also Crazy Ex Girlfriend always blew me away. Worst use of a song? When they made Joey sing “On My Own” in Dawson’s Creek.

Fictional TV Boyfriend of Choice: Lawrence from INSECURE or...Chandler Bing. Is that weird?

Worst TV Couple: Carrie & Big

Biggest TV Hot Take: Shows don’t need to go on for 10 years.

Best TV Romantic Monologue or One Liner: The last few lines of Normal People.

Alternate Ending for TV Plot:

Underappreciated Show We're All Sleeping On: Teenage Bounty Hunters, Dave, This Way Up

Cancelled Too Soon: Samantha Who / Teenage Bounty Hunters

TV Role You'd Steal: Kaley Cuoco in The Flight Attendant and Alexis in Schitt’s Creek

TV Couple That Should Have Been:

Show That Had the Biggest Influence on your Sexual Awakening: Probably The OC… The scene where Ryan and Marissa are not together but have to share the hotel room.

Ximena Medina

Season: Jane the Virgin (Jane and Michael)

I asked a friend to describe me once and she said “Ximena Medina is a Los Angeles based actress, singer, and songwriter, in her spare time she can be found fangirling over foreign tennis players, choreographing elaborate dances, practicing her various accents and impersonations, or making the perfect avocado toast.” And I have never felt more seen!

First Interaction with a love for TV

When I was really young-- 6 years old-- I used to watch a telenovela for kids in Mexico, and I felt so strongly connected to it, I cried when it ended. Movies, and television have always helped me get through life. However once I got to middle school, THAT is when my love for tv really started as I watched Veronica Mars for the first time. After that I watched Awkward which helped me get through my awkward life, then Skins which definitely allowed me to access that very angsty part of myself. Oooh Teenwolf HOT, and OBVIOUSLY Gilmore Girls, but Veronica Mars was probably my first tv love.

Favorite TV Couple of All Time: This is soooo hard… I have gone back and forth from all of my top tv couples, but you know what? My favorite tv couple of all time is Veronica and Logan, and that’s final! When they finally kissed in season 1 ep 18 my friend Kasia and I rewatched it maybe 6+ times before moving on. There is just something about them loooove.

Best TV Kiss: Don’t wanna get repetitive here so I’m not gonna say Logan and Veronica. I’ll say Jim and Pam’s first kiss! It might’ve been because of where I was in my life but I think I cried.

Best Use of Song in TV:  Anytime Grey’s Anatomy plays Ingrid Michaelson it’s perfect.

Fictional TV Boyfriend of Choice: I have a soft spot for Dean from Gilmore girls. And even though I wanna pick someone cooler and more logan esque I think Dean just makes sense for me? Idk i just keeps popping up in my head while thinking of this question

Worst TV Couple: Besides Carrie and Big who are just the WOAT I would say Joe and Love from You. they’re just scary.

Biggest TV Hot Take: Not sure this is a “hot take” I just DO NOT want Otis and Maeve (sex education) to end up together. I think he should end up single or they should introduce another kinder cooler character, but i’ll be sad if they end up together…

Best TV Romantic Monologue or One Liner: The “I thought our story was epic” moment.

Alternate Ending for TV Plot:

Under-Appreciated Show We're All Sleeping On: Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist. It’s so fun, and touching!

Cancelled Too Soon: The Carrie Diaries!!!!! I’m still mad about it.

TV Role You'd Steal: Lily in Dash and Lily

TV Couple That Should Have Been: Michael and Jane. They are soulmates.

Show That Had the Biggest Influence on your Sexual Awakening: I know that there have been others, but all I can think about is Marianne and Connell. When they have sex for the first time, and then Hide and Seek I think plays right after. Once again I cried.
